7.0/10

The hotel has a unique room layout that some might find charming, but it could be noisy and outdated for others. The service is friendly and helpful, although there were misunderstandings about late check-outs. The location is convenient for city exploration but can be noisy at times.

Rooms
6.0
The room had a high ceiling with a layout resembling long tables reminiscent of old college setups. Some in the group enjoyed it, but others found it old-looking and noisy due to the location near fire doors and a creaky staircase.
Service
7.0
The staff was friendly and genuinely interested in ensuring a pleasant stay, although there was confusion about late check-outs.
Location
7.0
The hotel is perfect for city center access, but noise from the function room and stairwell can be bothersome at night. It feels a bit rundown but is ideal for visiting Scone.
Dining
8.0
The dining experience set us up well for sightseeing, with a good selection catering to different tastes, including gluten-free options. However, the timing might not suit everyone.
Facilities

The facilities provided were sufficient, but nothing exceptional was noted.

7.6/10

The hotel is ideally located in downtown beautiful Perth, perfect for riverside walks and close to excellent shops and restaurants. The rooms, though smaller and warmer than expected, are known for their cleanliness. The service is top-notch, with staff being the best I've ever seen. The dining experience, while not great overall, has some delightful options. A renovation might be needed but the facilities are splendid.

8.0/10

Returning to the hotel after a night out, it was a bit cold and the radiator couldn't be adjusted to make it warmer. The staff, however, were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. The hotel's decor was charming and it was easy to navigate around Perth, with bus stops and restaurants nearby. The cleanliness could have been better, and unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in the bar. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

The staff were always friendly and helpful, asking about my day. They provided great entertainment and there were lots of local amenities nearby. The service from the team managers was excellent, professional, and very attentive.
Location

The hotel's location was excellent for events at the Perth Concert Hall and easy walking distance to the train station and city center. However, it felt a bit run down and waiting to be discovered.
Dining

The dining experience was good, but the fried eggs tended to set before residents could eat them. However, there were plenty of choices available.

The hotel is in a convenient location near the shopping complex and the Tay river, perfect for exploring the city with friendly staff. While the rooms had a unique dormitory-style setup and were a bit warm, the hotel exudes a historic charm waiting to be discovered.

Rooms
7.0
The room layout with three beds in a dormitory style may not be everyone's preference, but it had a bathtub and some antique furniture giving it a classic touch.
Service
8.0
The staff made me feel welcome and were extremely helpful during my stay. However, removing plates without a word was a bit abrupt.
Location
9.0
The location is great for accessing shops and sights in Perth, with a lovely view of the river and easy access to the concert hall.
Dining

The dining experience offered a variety of well-cooked dishes, though some items seemed to have been out for a while. The grilled fish was a standout.
Facilities
8.0

6.8/10

My stay at the hotel was pleasant overall. The rooms were clean but lacked modern updates, and the location was convenient for exploring the city. The service was hit or miss, with some staff being helpful and welcoming while others seemed disinterested. The dining experience had its ups and downs, but the partially self-service setup was a nice touch.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms, while clean, could benefit from a refurbishment. They were a bit too warm even with the windows open, and the distance from the main area was a downside.
Service
7.0
The staff were a mixed bag in terms of friendliness and attentiveness. Some were welcoming and helpful, while others seemed uninterested and did not engage with my feedback.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was good, near the central area of the city and within walking distance of cafes, shops, parks, and the River Tay.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience offered a variety of options, but some items seemed to have been left sitting for too long and were not served hot. Overall, the food quality was decent.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel facilities served their purpose but could benefit from updates to enhance the overall guest experience.
